Local business owners will again pull their resources together for survivors of domestic violence, with a day of pampering Healing Through Love was formed in April 2018, by four Adelaide based business women. We held our inaugural Pamper Day Event in May at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre, Marion.
The goal of holding the Healing Through Love Pamper Day is to help as many survivors of domestic violence in our community as possible by increasing awareness and offering advice on services available to them and their family members and to raise much-needed funds for women’s shelters.
Last years’ inaugural event; opened by Paula Luethen MP Member for King and attended by Caroline Power (nee Habib) Assistant Minister for Domestic and Family Violence Prevention.
We attracted 25 professionals offering a range of healing modalities. We also had a Sharing Room where keynote speakers shared their stories & experiences. There were also music and dance performances.
The event offered women the opportunity to enjoy many free services such as massages, facials, makeup, hair styling, and personal styling. There were various services represented on the day also that provided advice on legal and financial matters.
